Voltra July 2026 Update
Product and Company News
July was a huge month here at Voltra. We launched Fabric, our platform foundation that connects, models, and maintains devices at energy sites. We built and extended a dizzying array of features across the platform. We settled the event calendar for the rest of the year, with 11(!) events scheduled. And we planned out 3 major product launches in the next 120 days.
Voltra Fabric Launch
Fabric is our innovative platform to model and maintain physical infrastructure through an ontology layer. This allows us to present hardware through its live digital twin, represented entirely through clean, consistent APIs with maintained integration and configuration underneath. Fabric starts at $199/month, a transformative price for energy infrastructure software.
Voltra Energy Cloud (VEC)
A byproduct of productizing Fabric was assembling our energy-focused services into a single product offering, combining energy management, ev charging management, and several other services into a comprehensive energy offering. What’s great for customers is there’s no additional platform fees for VEC - all services are offered on a usage basis, so you only pay for what you use.
Upcoming Product Launches
While we can’t disclose what is coming, we can say we’re very excited about 3 new products we’re launching later this year. They continue to build on our Fabric foundation, extending our capabilities in making it easier to deploy and manage complex energy sites. They are driven by a combination of customer requests, industry insights, market opportunities, and our investigation into market trends. You’ll love what’s coming.
Event Calendar
Fall is a busy time in the energy industry. Many conferences are packed into a 2-month window between September 15 and November 15. Our team is speaking, sponsoring, exhibiting, or attending 11 different events in that time frame. Several events overlap with different audiences, putting additional pressure on our project and time management skills, but we’re up for it. We believe deeply in our value proposition and want to be out there telling our story.
Product Release
In the month of July we released numerous enhancements to the platform in addition to the Fabric release. Some highlights:
Energy Management
We built out our optimization capabilities in greater depth, including utility tariff intake through our Bayou integration. This is part of our “shadow optimization” approach, which runs the engine in parallel to real world data to train the model and develop benefit estimates before deploying in production. Our EMS user interface also received a redesign and expansion, moving many capabilities from API-only to Console-accessible.
One of the more interesting additions is our new WorldSim energy simulation service. We can replicate real-world large-scale load on a site, including batteries, PV, chargers, and grid signals, which greatly improves engineering test velocity. It also makes for great demonstrations, which we’ll use at trade shows in the future.
Charge Management
EV charging saw improvements in error decoding, onboarding, analytics, and reservations. Improved fleet management capabilities also landed, with UI improvements and more sophisticated business logic around vehicle readiness.
Platform
Numerous improvements included composable dashboards, a design cleanup that brought all UI under a single design system, and improved security hardening as part of our SOC 2 program. We also completed a long-running project to refactor much of our event handling to a bus architecture, which was a precursor to many of our future enhancements.
Looking at August
This month is a building month, continuing to expand capabilities to help our customers succeed. We’ll see continued investment in energy optimization, battery management, alerting and workflows, and reporting. We’ll also put the finishing touches on our next product release, and finish the first phase of the product after that. With September’s trade shows coming up, we want to get everything lined up for the rest of the year with a month-long sprint while things are still quiet.
Looking at the Rest of 2026
We’re super excited about the last third of the year. Customers and partners across a wide spectrum of the energy ecosystem have engaged Voltra to solve challenges ranging from refrigeration to battery temp monitoring to fleet charging to vehicle-to-grid. Plus there are some new things we can’t talk about just yet, to be announced with partners later this year at different trade shows. We can’t wait to tell you about them.
