Voltra Brings Tritium's GRID-FLEX to Its Platform and Customers Ahead of RE+ 2026

Press Release

Voltra customers can now design, deploy and operate sites built on Tritium's 800 VDC GRID-FLEX power cabinet. A full-scale GRID-FLEX cabinet will be on display in Voltra's booth at RE+.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., October 21, 2026 — Voltra, the coordination layer for distributed power, announced today that Tritium Power Solutions' GRID-FLEX power cabinet is being brought into the Voltra platform and available to Voltra customers. A full-scale 800 kW GRID-FLEX cabinet will be on display in Voltra's booth, C7082, at RE+ 2026. GRID-FLEX is the latest addition to the growing range of hardware Voltra supports.

RE+ brings together the people building North America's power infrastructure, from solar and storage developers to utilities and the teams powering AI data centers. More of them are no longer waiting on new grid capacity. They are building power on site, with generation, storage and load run behind the meter as one system.

That only works if software can see and control everything on site. Voltra connects hardware from any vendor or protocol into a single layer, so people, software and AI agents can operate a site as one system, from behind-the-meter generation and storage down to rack- and GPU-level power distribution.

DC microgrids raise the stakes. With solar, batteries, generators, the grid and compute loads on one 800 VDC bus, every asset affects every other: a battery dispatch or a jump in rack demand shifts conditions across the whole site. Coordinated well, a DC microgrid needs fewer conversion stages, comes online without waiting on the utility, and turns backup power into a source of revenue.

Tritium's GRID-FLEX fits that model. The bidirectional, four-quadrant 800 VDC platform scales from 400 kW to 9.6 MW, so Voltra customers can grow a site in stages and use the same hardware for backup, export and grid support. Customers will be able to plan GRID-FLEX sites in Studio, Voltra's upcoming site design tool, and run them from the same platform. Together, Tritium and Voltra are advancing the 800 VDC ecosystem, enabling seamless integration of solar, storage, and grid assets through a shared commitment to next-generation energy infrastructure.

"We're excited to be able to offer Tritium's GRID-FLEX to our customers," said Alexander Stratmoen, CEO and co-founder of Voltra. "It's bidirectional, four-quadrant hardware at megawatt scale, and its native 800 VDC design makes it a compelling building block for DC microgrids. Integrating it into Voltra means our customers can design a site with GRID-FLEX and then operate, measure and monetize it alongside everything else they run. It's the latest of many hardware platforms we're bringing onto Voltra, and we'll have many more to share at RE+."

"We've spent more than a decade pushing the boundaries of liquid-cooled power electronics, and GRID-FLEX is the next evolution of that technology," said Arcady Sosinov, CEO of Tritium Power Solutions. "We're applying everything we've learned to a much bigger world of energy applications, from data centers and microgrids to energy storage and large-scale charging. Combining our power electronics expertise with Voltra's software platform brings greater intelligence and control to increasingly complex energy systems. We're excited to show what we can do together at RE+."

Hardware-agnostic by design

Voltra works with hardware vendors across the entire power system, from behind-the-meter generation, storage and power conversion systems down to rack- and GPU-level power distribution, and is excited to have GRID-FLEX join the device vendors already integrated with the platform. Voltra connects to hardware over protocols including Redfish, SNMP, Modbus, BACnet, DNP3, MQTT, IEEE 2030.5, OpenADR and OCPP, and will share further additions to its hardware lineup in the weeks leading up to RE+.

See it at RE+ 2026

Voltra's booth, C7082, will show a complete software-managed site with a full-scale, production 800 kW GRID-FLEX cabinet as its power layer. Voltra will also use RE+ to launch Studio. The exhibit floor runs November 17 to 19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. To book a meeting, get in touch.
